“Working for the People of Stanton”

  • Contracted with the Orange County Fire Authority and the Orange County Sheriffs to be our protective service agencies for Public Safety.
  • Added two new Neighborhood Enhancement Deputies to enforce laws regulating Homelessness, Human Trafficking, Gambling Parlors, and Illegal Drugs in our Neighborhoods.
  • Added new Motor Officer for traffic Safety and to protect our streets and schools.
  • Added two new Park Rangers and two new Code Enforcement Officers to protect our streets, parks and neighborhoods.
  • Added a City Public Safety Director to manage our protective services for the community. He is working with our Deputies and Chief of Police to keep Stanton’s crime rate among the lowest in Orange County.
  • Built and opened our New “STANTON CENTRAL PARK” and “DOTSON PARK” for our families, seniors, and kids.
  • Rebuilding VILLAGE CENTER with new businesses, In-N-Out Burgers, Raising Cane’s, Planet Fitness, Panda Express, Chase Bank, Grocery Outlet, along with over 250 New businesses citywide including Wendy’s, Starbucks, Sprint Store, Churroholic, and Del Taco.
  • Opened public parking spaces near neighborhoods to offer additional parking for our community.
  • Built the New Pocket Park on Beach and Orangewood with STANTON monument landmark sign.
  • Rebuilt entry to Stanton City Hall to make it easily accessible for all our residents and businesses.
  • Improved Traffic Safety by installing signalized crosswalks, stops signs, and speed bumps to keep our schools and neighborhoods safe.
  • Voted NOT to renew Stanton’s franchise agreement with “Golden State Water Company” I have fought to reduce our high-water bills.
  • Founded and implemented the new city wide “Neighborhood Watch Program” – coming soon to your neighborhood – already established successfully in over twenty neighborhood communities of Stanton.
  • Brought the “Illumination Foundation” to the City of Stanton to help solve homelessness in our community.
  • Lowered the Stanton Utility Tax and fought against legislation to remove Prop 13 credits for Stanton homeowners.
  • Fought to STOP THE GAS TAX and increases in Vehicle Registration.
  • TALK ON THE BLOCK – City Council on Wheels – City Council meets in your neighborhood, mobile home park communities, HOA, apartments, and townhomes. This community outreach makes government accessible to all the people by visiting you and addressing your needs and concerns so that we may help you improve your quality of life.
  • Keeping the City of Stanton’s budget balanced protecting Stanton’s economic future.
  • Park Rangers – implementation of “New Park Ranger Program” to make our parks safe and assist in patrolling government buildings, schools, and public right-of-way.
  • Business Development – helped over 250 additional new businesses including three new automotive centers/car dealers open in Stanton.
  • Developing over 350 new homes to supplement our residential communities and increasing our property values.
  • Developing affordable housing for all Stanton residents.
  • Kept the general fund budget of the City of Stanton balanced by creating new jobs and helping new businesses.
  • Established and implemented our city-wide anti-graffiti program that has been a model for other Orange County cities. Stanton Graffiti APP is now available to residents and businesses.
  • Founded the Stanton based Anti-Drug Busters Program for the County of Orange.
  • Established and implemented “Youth in Government Day” – City of Stanton allows local high school students to participate in local government activities.
  • Funded and founded Stanton’s Halloween “Haunted House” to be part of our city-wide “Halloween Family and Friends” event.
  • Eliminated the flooding at major intersections throughout the community with new storm drains and run-off systems. Fixed and repaired all major roads in Stanton.
  • Placed traffic control and stop signs throughout the community and Central Park making it safe for our citizens.
  • Expanded our Code Enforcement Department to improve the quality of life for all residents.
  • Established and implemented the Stanton Business Alliance to assist our business community to be more successful and serve the community.
  • Expanded our volunteer Community Parks and Recreation Department to provide more senior citizen programs and after school recreation programs for families and youth of Stanton
  • Implemented a Zero Tolerance policy for “human trafficking” and prostitution in the City of Stanton with the help of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Opened communication between the Stanton City Council and our residents so we could listen and act on your concerns and needs.
  • Defeated Measure A that would have allowed organized crime and card clubs into the City of Stanton.
